"I have lost a total of 20 pounds...I am stronger than ever and more focused on eating for performance rather than reward."Lisa H.

“I am so glad I heard about this program. I have lost a total of 20 pounds since August. Moreover, I am stronger than ever and more focused on eating for performance rather than reward. Thank you so much for encouraging me to run a 10k when I have never run more than a mile at a time in my life.    You are encouraging and inspiring! Your program is amazing, and I'm looking forward to coming back. Much love and many thanks.”

"I feel stronger, healthier and more confident...people are actually commenting to me that I look different."Kate S.

"I want to really thank you for what you (and Thrive) have done for me, and my family. You have completely changed the way we eat, how we see food, and what foods we buy. I can't thank you enough. Our counter is full of fresh fruits and veggies like never before! Not only do I feel stronger, healthier and more confident, but people actually are commenting to me that I look different. Just testimony to the amazing Thrive journey I've started."

"I've seen what a commitment to Thrive can do...Thrive delivers results."Dana W.

“As a five-time marathon finisher, I had the ‘workout’ part of life pretty figured out. However, over time, injuries happened, aging happened, and I realized that my workouts weren’t working anymore. I couldn’t just exercise, eat what I wanted, and keep my weight the same. When I learned about the Thrive program, it was the eating plan that attracted me the most. I knew I needed new lessons on what to eat. Fast-forward eight weeks and I’m delighted with the results. My weight has gone down and, more importantly, I’ve committed to a healthier way of eating. The meals are quick, easy and keep me satiated. The snacks are important too, and Thrive tells me the right kind of snack to keep me full between meals. Another benefit has been the improvement of my workouts in both quality and quantity. With the small-group format, there’s accountability, and I’ve found myself staying committed and showing up every time (no more blowing off workouts due to lack of sleep or muscle soreness). Additionally, the quality of the Thrive workouts has improved my muscle tone, strengthened my core in a way that cardio never can, and helped burn additional calories. I’ve seen what a commitment to Thrive can do and I’m signing up for my second 8-week session to continue my journey. Thrive delivers results.”

"I found Thrive at just the right time and I'm so glad I did!"Melissa C.

"I feel healthy, strong, confident and full of energy thanks to Thrive! I started Thrive at the end of summer after a difficult year of injury and family life changes and challenges. I was feeling down, overweight, tired and out of shape despite the fact that I was working out 5-6 times a week. I compared a few programs and chose Thrive because I liked the multi-dimensional approach Amy created: small-group training, balanced, healthy clean eating, and mindful practices. I don’t do fad or vegan diets—I have a family to feed. Now I am healthy and fit, I am wearing clothes I haven’t worn in years, and I feel great! My injuries are gone, and I have never felt stronger. I have changed how I think about food and myself. Food is no longer a reward or punishment but rather fuel. No more deprivation, counting points or calories, or measuring portions. It’s a huge shift for me! I have tried new foods and really love my new approach to eating. I can’t thank Amy enough. I found Thrive at just the right time and I’m so glad I did. Thrive has been an investment in me and it’s been so worth it!"

"Thrive has been a great experience for me!"Brenna D.

"Coach Amy is so easy to work with! She got to know me personally at initial assessments and designed my program (meal plan and home workouts) around my personal goals. She has been genuinely encouraging and motivating with her own calm and relaxed style. She has spent time each week to connect with me on how I’m doing and has been super open to my feedback. For example, I am used to intensive workouts and was finding the home workouts too easy. I told this to Amy and she immediately responded with new workouts that more matched my preference. She also offers modifications during the group workouts to make exercise moves either harder or easier to accommodate the diverse needs of the athletes in my group. I email her questions all the time and she gets back to me quickly with thorough responses.

Amy is really organized and knows what she’s doing. During the workouts, she has us focused on quality over quantity. She has us working on proper form and technique. All the exercises are much harder but more effective this way! This has been a huge shift for me and I have learned a lot. I love that Amy is using different gym equipment. I’m getting more comfortable with the machines at the gym now that I know how to operate them. It’s also been fun to use the exercise balls, resistance bands, the step, dumb bells, body bars, etc.

The meal plan has been surprisingly wonderful. All the recipes are easy to prepare. I’m a mom of 2 active young children, I work full time, and often single parent in the evenings due to my husband’s schedule. I literally do not have time to prepare and cook much but this plan and these recipe are so easy that even I can do it! We’re not eating weird or expensive specialty foods. I’ve been shopping at Costco and my regular grocery store still. The recipes taste very good and usually make enough for leftovers so I don’t have to cook every night. I don’t feel hungry following the plan but have lost over 6 pounds and the program is only halfway done. I have a lot more energy and feel less guilt about eating since I know I’m making good choices. And, bonus, my husband and young kids have been enjoying the food, too. Even though I know better, my family and I had gotten into a bad habit of eating convenient packaged or frozen dinner foods, quick “empty calorie” things like plain cheese quesadillas, or worse, getting fast food or pizza. Following Thrive’s meal plan has helped my family really clean that up. My kids literally ask for kale chips or sunflower butter (‘on a spoon’) now or will help themselves to a banana as a snack choice. I feel so much relief in this area!

Amy is challenging us to think of food as fuel and shift our mindset around quite a bit. The ‘nourish your mind’ component of Thrive has been really encouraging and useful. I came to realize that I had some fairly unhealthy and negative thoughts about myself, my body, and my approach to nutrition. My eyes have been opened to some healthier alternatives.

I’m so glad I made the commitment to Thrive! I’ve developed friendships with the other women in my group and we’ve been meeting on our days off to do the home workouts together. We’re already making plans to keep that up during summer. This program is really working for me.”

"I am worth participating in this program."—Stacy C.

“Thank so much for your wonderful training method and attitude. You are low key but very motivational. Your way of doing things works for me and you have been so helpful and have helped me realize I am worth participating in this program. I love the ladies in the 9:30 class too.”

"I can't wait till next session!"—Kathleen R.

“I can’t wait till next session. I need to focus on the food plan. My eating is so much better but I think I need to accept a full permanent change in the food area. This sticking to the plan for a short time and then going back to bad habits does not work. Thanks for your support.”

"Now I am enjoying exercise without having self-doubt interfere."

—Marlene M.

“I really enjoy the group workouts and I even look forward to working out! In the past I was self-conscious about being uncoordinated and out of condition, now I am enjoying exercising without having self-doubt interfere. The exercises you teach are challenging and enjoyable. The pace of the class is steady which allows me to catch my breath and not feel light-headed (except when doing burpees). Thank you for creating and sharing Thrive. It is just what I needed!”

"Thanks so much for all your encouragement and knowledge."—Stacey Z.

“Thrive has been a great experience and challenge for me. Granted, it was difficult at times, but it was important for me to challenge myself. I certainly feel a difference in my strength as well as some of my clothing. I am not to my goal yet but will definitely keep plugging away.

I have learned a great deal, especially about eating. I enjoy eating whole foods and fresh foods and staying away from as many processed foods as possible, especially artificial sweeteners. Learning about macronutrients and how combinations of foods and how not all calories are the same has been quite enlightening.

The workouts are amazing (and exhausting!) but I try to push myself each night knowing the results will be coming with each push. As my reward to myself I plan on buying a new workout outfit!

Thanks so much for all your encouragement and knowledge. I look forward to signing up for the next 8-week session!”

"I was feeling overwhelmed with the idea of working out, and there were so many reasons why I just wasn't ready."—Nancy O.

“I feel better, stronger and more confident. For my reward, I had a huge piece of pie with ice cream, not! I bought some new clothes that I know I look good in and feel pretty too. It seems trivial to say that but feeling pretty makes me want to take better care of myself and that loops back around to the Thrive concepts of fitness, good eating habits and positive mental attitude. I am the beneficiary of all my efforts! How nice is that?!

For sure I never would have pushed myself as hard if you hadn’t been there encouraging me and firmly insisting that I do that last 10 sec. of ______ (fill in the blank with exercises).

I know that right before I saw your ad on the locker room wall, I was feeling overwhelmed with the idea of working out, and there were so many reasons why I just wasn’t ready. I appreciate your persistence and willingness to understand the issues facing my ability to move forward. So having said all that, I’m glad I signed up! I made the decision to just show up and make it through the workouts. My progress has been pretty slow and there have been a few days that I felt like I wasn’t seeing any changes, but I don’t have that young body any more that can withstand pushing too hard. I try to do most every exercise and I’m pleasantly surprised that I am doing some of the moves I thought I couldn’t do. I feel comfortable enough in our group (and with you) that I can put aside the embarrassment I usually feel when executing moves in my awkward manner. It’s taken a few years of a downhill slide in fitness (and believe me, I was aware of it) so now it’s only fair that I give myself that amount of time to build it back up.

I like the Thrive menus and recipes. When in doubt about what to have for dinner, I just check the menu and I immediately have good suggestions. All the chicken recipes are good and I love the cauliflower rice. I have to be very protective of my Egg Muffins or my husband will inhale them.”
